Lucas Patchet and Nicholas Marchesi founded Orange Sky Laundry in July 2014. Their charity is made up of seven board members whose aim is to see Orange Sky Laundry provide services to the streets of Australia. According to their website, they would like to help improve the hygiene standards of the homeless in Australia. This is currently a pilot project but they hope that with time, they will have a fleet of larger trucks that can fit around 6 washers and 6 dryers, to service different locations around the country.
They plan to schedule volunteers by the beginning of 2015 and you can apply to be one on their website.
