Photos: Incredible Underwater Photo shoot For Bride Who Lost Fiance Days Before Their Wedding

52 days before her wedding, Janine lost her fiance, Johnny, and instead of collapsing in grief, she did an amazing thing. To honor him, she did a photo shoot at the Mayan Rivera in Mexico, while wearing the dress she didn't get to wear on her wedding day. The shoot was done underwater since she felt a connection to the element of water; not only for its purifying and cleansing qualities but also for the sense of freedom she got while swimming.

He Began Being Sick In The Mornings And Noticed His Breasts Were Growing, "Couvade syndrome"

Harry Ashby, 29, has been suffering from morning sickness. He and his fiancée Charlotte Allsopp, who is 19, are expecting a baby. He was diagnosed with sympathetic pregnancy or Cauvade Syndrome after visiting his GP with weight gain, food cravings and exhaustion problems. The security guard who is from Erdington, Birmingham, was signed off sick with these unusual conditions.

He says his problems began about two months ago after they discovered the pregnancy. Mr Ashby, who auditioned for both the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, started experiencing morning sickness and his stomach and breasts also began growing. He started feeling exhausted most of the time, just like his fiancée, and suffered chest and back pains. “He started throwing up in the mornings and we'd lie on the sofa and moan at the same time about our aches and pains,” Miss Allsopp, a hair dresser said.

Their baby girl is due sometime early next year and the father shares the same cravings for orange Lucozade and fatty foods like Chinese takeaways, just like his wife. Mr Ashby, who is a part-time model, began panicking when he realized he had added a stone and a half. They researched his symptoms online before he visited his GP and he was diagnosed with Couvade syndrome, commonly known as sympathetic pregnancy.

According to his doctor, he was the first man to ever get a sick note for this type of condition and his security firm boss gave him time off work, after the diagnosis. He felt better after knowing what was troubling him and it made him appreciate what his fiancée is going through.

He also said that he understood what the Duchess of Cambridge was going through (he has a severe case of morning sickness, called hyperemesis gravidarum). He also hoped that speaking out about his condition would help others with similar problems. His partner, Miss Allsopp however says that she gets tired of having to take care of him while he should be taking care of her.

They have lost a baby previously during pregnancy and believe that this trauma may have led to the unusual closeness, which fascinates their friends.  Miss Allsop’s baby is due January the 2nd and she is not the only one anxious about it. “I'm a bit nervous, as some men who have Couvade syndrome also had bad labor pains when their partners give birth,” she says.

Cauvade Syndrome also known as the male sympathetic syndrome, comes from French ‘couver’ meaning ‘to hatch’. Medically, the condition is not recognized although a study done in 2007 showed that out of 282 fathers in the survey, 11 of them had visited their GP with similar symptoms to those their pregnant partners were experiencing. Symptoms include:  vomiting, nausea, food cravings, weight gain, depression, tiredness, tooth ache and fainting. In extreme cases, the men develop a pregnant-looking stomach and breasts. The symptoms, according to some of the sufferers, subsided after some time while others claimed they lasted up to and also during labor.

Here Are Some Fascinating Facts On Friendship

As someone one’s said, ‘friendship is the cement that holds the world together. ‘It’s a great responsibility and not an opportunity but here are some strange facts you didn’t know about friendship.

1. Friendship is good for one’s heart and soul

According to studies, friendship helps foster good health, longevity and alleviates stress. When faced with major illnesses like cancer or heart attacks, people with a great social network are in a better position to survive. The loving support of friends helps them through the healing process.

Companionship also helps reduce stress effects on the body; it protects one from illnesses and hastens the healing process when sick. It makes people less susceptible to chronic diseases like arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases and heart disease
According to The Scientific Basis for the Healing Power of Intimacy by Dean Ornish, no other aspect in medicine, ''not diet, not smoking, not exercise, not stress, not genetics, not drugs, not surgery - has a greater effect on how often we get sick than the healing power of love and intimacy.'' He says that personal intimacy directly affects our bodies, leading to a stronger immune system, better functioning of the cardiovascular and longer life expectancies.

 2. Lack of close friends is as detrimental to your health as carrying extra weight or smoking.

Friendship not only makes us happier but contributes to our health. The renowned Harvard Medical School Nurses’ Health Study found out that, a woman with more friends was less likely to develop physical impairments as she grew old and was more likely to live a joyful life. The results by the researchers were very significant that their conclusion was that, not having close confidants or friends was as detrimental to your health as being overweight or smoking.

 3. In a lifetime, you go through 396 friends but only 36 last.
 According to researchers,

  • In a lifetime, one makes 396 friendships but only one in 12, (33) stands the test of time.
  • Out of the 33, only 6 are considered to be close friends while the 27 are social friends i.e. workmates or drinking buddies.
  • Best friends are not those one sees most often but those one thinks of most. Men see friends every five days while women see them every 3.5 days. Both sexes however see their best friend only once in eight weeks. (this study was done by MSN messenger)
 4. Marriages last due to friendship
John Gottman, a psychology professor at University of Washington believes that “happy marriages are based on deep friendship. By this I mean a mutual respect for each other's company." They are also based on partner’s knowledge of the other’s likes, dislikes and quirks.
Spouses who are friends make “repair attempts” during quarrels. They try to keep anger from escalating beyond control. Gottman reports that partners who are friends and know each other well, know how to quell tensions during sticky situations. They stop the fighting and continue with their marriage.

Bill Hanawalt, a pastor at the Vineyard Christian Church of Evaston says that, "Marriage without friendship cannot work in our culture. …Couples that don't give attention to developing their friendship often come apart.
An article ‘Keys to a Happy Marriage (From Real Experts’) on the Huffington Post states that ‘Friendship is as important as love for a happy married life.’ Most people in happy successful marriages claim they were friends before they got married. Some of those, whose marriages failed, claimed they had love but didn't learn how to be friends.

Acts Of Kindness On This Russian Video Will Surely Make You Cry

The video dubbed “Russian video that made the whole world cry” is currently a sensation on YouTube. It shows Russian motorists going out of their way to help perfect strangers on the highway. They stop their trucks and cars to help people cross the street and get animals off the road.
It’s good to know that there are still people out there who are kind to others and who will go out of their way to help if they can. These people were not obligated to help in any way; they just did it out of a kind heart. The video, made by Alextard, shows that there is still hope in the world and taking a minute to help someone out could make a huge impact on their lives.

This video shows a different side of Russia. It’s a confirmation that kindness without expecting anything in return is powerful. It would be a better world, if we did this more often.

Amazing Plastic Surgery Makes A Korean Woman So Gorgeous That Surgeon Proposes Her

In South Korea, one in five women admits to having undergone surgery. It’s a country with the most cosmetically enhanced people worldwide. Data taken by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, shows that one in every 77 South Koreans has had plastic surgery done on either their face and/or body.
Plastic surgery is so common in this country that most of the stigma regarding it has gone away and beauty queens and celebrities discuss it openly. Here, a person’s success or failure is highly determined by facial looks which makes plastic surgery a worthwhile investment. The success of celebrities in Korea who have undergone plastic surgery is a contributing factor to the high rates. In fact, most of the people in need of the surgery carry photos of celebrities for surgeons to duplicate their looks. Another reason Koreans undergo plastic surgery is to achieve a “western look.” This involves undergoing a double eyelid surgery to make eyes look bigger and/or a jaw reconfiguration that makes ones faces small and more sharply defined.
